Just prior to releasing their widely acclaimed ‘The Garbageman And The Prostitute’ full-length on Gold Standard Laboratories (GSL), Kill Me Tomorrow's ‘Chrome Yellow’, connected the trio to the robust early-2000s San Diego music scene following their move South from Oregon. Their bombastic live shows were welcomed with open arms to audiences and fellow local musicians alike – as evidenced by San Diego musicians providing remixes for ‘Chrome Yellow’ including Pall Jenkins (Three Mile Pilot, The Black Heart Procession, The Yukon Dreams, Mr. Tube and the Flying Objects), Jimmy LaValle (The Album Leaf, Tristeza, GoGoGo Airheart, Guyver One, Swing Kids, The Crimson Curse, The Locust), and Rafter Roberts (Bunky, Plus Minus). Following the dissolution of Kill Me Tomorrow, Dan Wise played in Bartenders Bible, The Women, Thin Man, Psychic Ills, Honey and Cool Whip; while Zack & Kate Wentz launched Tender Buttons. Zack went on to form Forrest Grove, The Dabbers and Charles (Book and Tape).
